Overhead garage doors take a beating from the sun, the rain and even the occasional hockey puck or tennis ball. As you can see from the pictures, this garage door was six years old and faced East, so it only had direct sun in the morning, but that was enough for its colour to become really faded. It probably didn’t help that builder paint is not exactly a stellar product.
PRICING
The cost for Homethority to paint an overhead garage door is based on the following: paint, labour, supplies and equipment. Pricing includes two coats of one colour for a seven foot high overhead garage door:
Single $229
Double $339
Triple $479 plus GST.
If you have an eight foot tall door, then simply add $20 for a Single, $30 for a Double and $50 for a Triple. Homethority can take care of your door jambs and brickmould, as well as any other painting for an extra cost.
PROCESS
We will start by cleaning and light sanding if needed; homeowner water source will be required. We will use a top of the line exterior paint, to ensure the garage door will stay looking great longer this time around. This paint is designed to provide exceptional beauty and is easily washable. Retail value of this urethane trim enamel paint is $100 a gallon!
In terms of picking a color, Homethority will match what was originally painted. If you are looking for a different fresh look, we will work with you to select a color of your choosing. Please note, if there is a significant color change, then a third coat might be required at an extra cost.
Paint application requires the temperature to be over ten degrees Celsius, which may impact your scheduled paint day; due to our lovely Calgary weather. We will require the ability to open and close your garage door.
Payment can be handled through cash, e-transfer or credit cards and no deposit is required. You pay when your garage door is finished.
